Polywood Shutters — Anthem Kitchen
Three windows in a Sun City Anthem kitchen — one over the sink, two flanking the breakfast nook. The homeowner had previously installed real-wood shutters in another home and watched them swell and warp from steam and dishwasher humidity.

The challenge
Constant exposure to steam from cooking and the dishwasher. Direct morning sun on the breakfast nook windows. HOA color restriction.
What we installed
2.5-inch louver polywood shutters in Sun City's approved off-white color. Polywood is moisture-stable so it won't warp from steam, and easy to wipe clean. Hidden tilt rod for an uncluttered look.
The outcome
Two years later, no warping, no yellowing, no swelling. The homeowner reports the shutters wipe clean with a damp cloth. Breakfast nook stays cooler in the morning.
